RACA x BSC MVBIII September Star Airdrop: Who Got Tokens and How It Worked

On October 15, 2023, the BNB Chain Most Valuable Builder III (MVBIII) program named Radio Caca (RACA) as one of its September Monthly Stars. That announcement kicked off a major airdrop for holders of specific NFTs tied to the RACA ecosystem. If you held a Metamon NFT or a Metamon Planet Badge (MPB) before the snapshot, you were eligible for free $RACA tokens and a Potion NFT. But not everyone got paid - and the rules were strict.

Who Was Eligible for the RACA Airdrop?

The airdrop wasn’t open to everyone. It was locked to two groups of NFT holders:

• Metamon NFT holders: This included owners of Old Metamon, New Metamon, and Rare Metamon. Each qualifying NFT earned one Potion NFT and 20,000 $RACA tokens.

When Did the Airdrop Happen?

The snapshot was taken on October 10, 2023. The distribution went live on October 12 at 16:00 UTC. Tokens and Potion NFTs were automatically sent to the wallets that met the criteria. No claim page. No manual steps. If you qualified, the tokens appeared in your wallet within hours.

By October 13, over 12,000 wallets had received $RACA tokens. The total supply distributed was approximately 2.4 billion $RACA tokens, with roughly 1.8 billion going to Metamon NFT holders and 600 million to MPB holders. The MPB group was much smaller - only about 3,000 badges existed - but each one carried a massive 200,000 token reward.

What Was the Potion NFT For?

The Potion NFT wasn’t just a collectible. It was designed as a functional item in the upcoming Metamon game. According to RACA’s roadmap, Potions could be used to enhance Metamon characters - boosting stats, unlocking special abilities, or even evolving NFTs into rarer forms. The fact that it was distributed as an airdrop reward meant early adopters got a head start in gameplay mechanics before the game even launched.

Many holders didn’t realize the Potion NFT had utility beyond being a badge of honor. Some sold theirs on secondary markets right after the airdrop, missing out on future in-game benefits. What About the Tesla Cybertruck Airdrop?

Before the main $RACA airdrop, RACA ran a separate promotion tied to the MVBIII announcement. The top 1,000 MPB holders - those with badge numbers #0 to #999 - were promised a digital Tesla Cybertruck NFT. This wasn’t a real car. It was a high-value digital collectible with exclusive access to future RACA events and merchandise drops.

The Cybertruck NFTs were minted on October 18, 2023. They came with a unique serial number and were tied to the holder’s wallet permanently. Only 1,000 were ever created. Some of these NFTs later appeared on secondary markets for prices ranging from 5 to 15 BNB - far above their minting cost.

What Other Events Happened During MVBIII?

RACA wasn’t alone in the MVBIII spotlight. The September Stars program included six other projects: Kine, Mars Ecosystem, O3 Swap, Thetan Arena, and two others. Between November 3 and 8, 2023, there was a six-day festival of events:
